Geology: Hydrology & Weathering / Erosion / Deposition

Unit Plan: How is water the greatest force of change on the surface of the earth?

This unit examines the role of freshwater in shaping the earth and it examines the connections and issues associated with freshwater. Only 3% of the earth's water is fresh, and 2/3 of that is frozen in glaciers. The remaining 1% is critical for life, but it is also the major agent of change on the surface of the earth. This unit will examine freshwater, both above and below the surface and students will examine the importance of the movement of this material through the environment.
