Unit 10 - Reproductive System

This unit examines the one system that is truly different between genders. While the origins of the organs are similar, the impact of the X and Y chromosome have an incredible impact on the results. Students will learn about the essential organs, glands, ducts and associated features of the systems. They will examine the role of hormones in developing and maintaining reproductive function. They will gain an understanding of how each system works and the disorders that impact each gender individually and collectively. This unit requires a degree of maturity, as "adult" topics will be discussed.
