Lesson: Female Reproductive System
What is meant by the saying "When it comes to women, the plumbing is easy but the chemistry is difficult"?
This lesson investigates the structures, functions and pathologies that affect the female reproductive system. Students will investigate the process of oogenesis and then trace the journey (and additional changes, especially is it relates to the menstrual cycle) that occur as the egg makes its way to the uterus and out of the body. Common disorders and treatments will be discussed.
