Unit 4 - Membranes and Integumentary System
How do membranes (like our skin) function?
This unit begins the system-by-system study of the human body. It's focus is on the structure, function and pathology of the integumentary system. The unit begins with a description of the four membranes of the body before bridging into an examination of the skin. Students will also learn to recognized major disorders of the skin, diagnose and estimate the surface coverage of burns, and to recognize the causes, identification and treatment of skin cancers.
