Lesson: Chemical Reactions
What terms and forces are involved in describing chemical reactions?
This lesson examines the conversion of reactants into products through reactions, whether they are endothermic or exothermic. It also examines the role of activation energy, equilibrium.
BIO.2 The student will investigate and understand the chemical and biochemical principles essential for life. Key concepts include
a) water chemistry and its impact on life processes;
b) the structure and function of macromolecules;
c) the nature of enzymes
• describe the structure of enzymes and explain their role in acting as catalysts to control the rate of metabolic reactions.
