Lesson: Skin Anatomy
What are the structures and arrangement of tissues in the skin?
This lesson describes the structure of the skin and its associated features. Students will relate these structures to the functions of the skin and develop an understanding of how these features work together.
Warm Ups, etc:
Pound of Flesh - given a cut-away view of the skin and a fingernail, students classify and identify the features
Instruction, Presentations, Assignments, Activities, etc:
Diagram - Skin Anatomy (textbook) - students label a diagram to familiarize themselves with the vocabulary, location and key features of the structure of the skin.
