Sometimes the best way to understand how something works is to investigate what can go wrong. This unit examines the causes and mechanisms of disease. Specific attention will be given to pathogenic organisms, cancer and the functions of inflammation. Students will also examine the diagnosis, treatment and prevention the disease.
