Lesson: Membranes

What types of structures are found on the outside of the body and organs?

This lesson begins the system-by-system study of the body by describing the four types of membranes associated with organs and organ systems. Students will relate the tissue and location of membranes to their functions, as many membranes appear in multiple locations throughout the body.

Warm Ups, etc:

Introduction to Integumentary System - review of material originally presented in unit 3

Membrane Review - multiple choice questions about the organization and distribution of membranes in the body
