The Beard is Back

In 2009 the students at Bedford Elementary School entered the Detroit Red Wings Beard is Back Contest. They were to create something that showed students wearing beards in honor of the Red Wings making it to the Stanley Cup Finals. Needless to say our students went above and beyond for this contest and we won 1st place! We were awarded so many wonderful things including a visit from the Running With The Red Wings, a school wide pizza party, all new hocky equipment to keep in our gym, a beautifully framed & autographed picture of The Detroit Red Wings, and our student's video was featured on the main page of The Detroit Red Wings web site.
