Introduction

Surprise!!!!! You are going on a 7 day, all expense paid vacation to any destination of your choice! You will be leaving on your next birthday or half birthday (Pretend you have no school;0). You may choose any place in the world to travel to, but you MUST travel to this destination by plane!

Your assignment is to plan out your entire trip and to create a presentation that will advertise your vacation and tell about everything that you will be doing while you are on your trip . You will use Google Drive (Presentation) to create a presentation describing information about your flight, hotel, weather and activities that you will be doing while you are away.

You will be planning a trip for one person, but you may work with a partner on this project. If you choose to work with a partner, both you and your partner must complete separate presentations. Both presentations may include the the same researched information, but should look somewhat different.

Getting Started

  • To begin, you should log into your Gmail account.

  • Once logged into your Gmail, you should click on the tab labeled Drive on the top of the page.

  • On the left hand side you will click the orange Create tab and select Presentation.

    • Once your blank presentation loads, you will need to choose a Theme.

  • Make sure you rename your presentation. To do this, click Untitled Presentation and change the name to the location that you are traveling to.

You will be planning your trip as an adult and may fly any class (i.e. first, business, economy, etc.) that you would like.

**Make sure you include a title AND at least 1 picture/image on this slide.

(This is much easier if you use the Travel Form below to help organize your thoughts and information).

You should type out something similar to the script below:

(where you will be traveling to) at (time your flight will be arriving at your chosen destination) using (airline you will be ) airlines.

Repeat all of the steps in step 3 for row C.

4. Make sure you Bold and change the font size of your titles including the words Sub Total, Tax, Grand Total & Money Left Over

5. Let’s Go Shopping! You will now need to use the internet to explore various stores and buy various supplies that are appropriate and that you can use on your trip. Pay attention to what the weather is going to be like on your trip so that you can buy appropriate clothes and items (such as sun block) for your trip. **You may only buy 1 large ticket item that costs more than $101 and less than $500.**

6. You will need to use formulas to calculate the Total Cost, Sub Total, Tax, Grand Total, and Money Left Over. These formulas can be found in the Spreadsheet Sample.

If you are citing an image/picture/photograph/map you will use Web Based Image to cite your source. ** You do not have to animate or add any pictures/images to this slide**

Normally, you would cite the sources for ALL of the images and/or information you borrow from the internet when conducting research.
