Steps to setup Microsoft Publisher Document size for our web publication:

1. Open Publisher and select "Blank Print Publication" and then choose Web Sites. Choose a web site design that you would like to use for your web page.

2. Go to File + Page Setup and select Custom: Width: 6 in. Height: 5 in.

3. Next go to Arrange-> Layout Guides and change all margins to 0 inches.

4. You will need 4 pages, so go to Insert -> Page and type 3.

5. Go to page 1 and start the first of your 4 pages

6. Go to View-> Toolbars and make sure there is a check mark next to the Word Art toolbar. If there is not, click on the words Word Art.

Page 1: Home Page

· Famous Person's Name

· Create a Slogan or a quote about your famous person

· Graphic (photo of the famous person)

Page 2: Information About Your Famous Person (Biography)

Example Topic Title: "All About Nicholas Cage"

· Type out a brief biography about the famous person you chose. DO NOT copy and paste! You might want to open up a blank

Microsoft Word Document and use that to jot down your ideas.

· Some ideas you may want to include in the Biography:

§ Childhood- Facts about their childhood such as when and where they were born, their parent’s names, siblings, or other related facts.

§ Education- Facts about their schooling including when and where they went to school and the degrees they have.

§ Career- Information about what your person does for a living.

§ Accomplishments- Facts about important events in their life.

§ Death (if they have died) - Information about you famous persons death (when, where, and/or cause).

§ Interesting Facts- Facts that make the person interesting such as hobbies, travel experiences, beliefs, etc.)

Don't forget to add some pictures to make your web page look more eye appealing.

· Create a Timeline of significant events that have occurred in your Famous Person's Life (could also be a filmology, songology, or a list of events/activities)

· 1 or 2 sentence introduction... like:

Therefore, I am going to answer some of the most essential questions I have been asked over the past several weeks.

· Write out a minimum of 3 questions that you would like to ask your famous person then pretend you are the famous person and write an answer for each question.

o When you write your questions (change the font, color, size etc...)

o You will need a minimum of 3 questions/answers (use the Print Preview to be consistent with the look of your questions and answers.
