8th Grade Electronic Portfolio Template
In 8th grade computers, you will continue to work on your Electronic Portfolio and will be using a new template design. To access this template, follow the instructions below.
Instructions
Step 1: Creating Your Portfolio
1. Log into your Gmail account from last year. If you did not create a Gmail in Mrs. Maurus’ class last year, you will need to download the Gmail form (found here) and create a new account.
2. Once logged in, at the top of the page click on More->Even More->Sites to access your Google Site
3. You should now be on the page that has your Electronic Portfolio website’s name listed. On the left hand side, click the orange Create button.
4. Select, Browse the gallery for more.
5. In the search box type Best 8th Grade
6. Scroll down and select the template titled Best Middle School 8th Grade Computer & Technology Class
7. Click on Preview Template
8. At the top, in blue, click on Use this template
9. Name your site: 8th Grade Electronic Portfolio
Site Location: Add a few random numbers to this name so that your site location is unique.
10. Type the Code Shown at the bottom of the page
11. Click on Create
Step 2: Blurb About Yourself
Take a few minutes to type a little "blurb" about yourself. You will need to click on the Edit Page(s) tool in the top right corner and delete the current text that is there. Type out a paragraph or two that talks about you, your grade level and tell me a little about yourself. Remember to NEVER use your last name anywhere on this site.
Step 3: Uploading an Image
You will now start working on the Digital Images project. Here you will create the Avatar that you will upload onto your portfolio, replacing the silhouette on your Home page.
