Sliderocket Instructions

Sliderocket is a FREE online presentation tool that helps you to create and deliver presentations.
You can now take your presentations wherever you go, apply new ideas instantly, review, edit, share and deliver presentations on the go.
Using the information that you learned in Steps 1 & 2, you will create a 12 slide Presentation using Sliderocket.
Once you access Slide rocket, you will first need to create an account:
Ø Go to Sliderocket
Ø Click on Sign Up (Upper right corner)
Ø Underneath Lite click Choose Plan
Ø Enter your Email Address (if you do not have one you can just make one up)
Ø Choose and enter a 6-20 digit password (your student number would make a great password).
Ø Re-Enter your password
Ø Click on Create My Account
Make sure you write down your username and password somewhere safe so that you don’t forget them.
Creating a New Presentation
Ø Click on New
Ø A New Presentation box will pop up
Ø In the box that says Name, type in the title Internet Safety Rules
Ø Select a Theme: Please choose the White theme
Ø Click Ok
Ø Begin creating your presentation
Adding Pictures/Images
You must save any picture/image that you want to use to you’re my Pictures Folder
Once the Picture/Image is saved:
Ø Click on the slide that you want to insert the picture on
Ø Click on Picture on the left side of the screen
Ø Select Import Media
Ø Choose the picture/image that you would like to upload and click on Open
Formatting Your Text
All text formatting tools will be located to the right of your slide.
Select the text you want to format and then choose the formatting feature you wish to use.
Adding Annimation
Ø Click on the text or image you wish to format
Ø On the right hand side click on fx
Ø Click on Add Effects
Ø Choose the effect that you wish to apply
Saving Your Work
On the Slide Rocket tool bar (not your web browser toolbar) select File-> Save As
Sharing Your Presentation
To share your work with Mrs. Maurus, follow the directions below.
Click on Share
Click on the Publish tab
Select Get Public Link and click Copy Link
Log into your email and select Compose to create a new email.
Paste (CTRL+V) the link to your presentation into the body of your email.
In the To field, type in my email address: maurusja@d7.k12.mi.us
In the Subject field, type Your Name's Presentation
Click Send
