Have you ever taken something that didn't belong to you? Most honest people have not. Have you ever downloaded music, movies, or games without paying for them? Most honest people probably have. Did you know that when you download material from the Internet you may be infringing on someone's copyright? For this lesson you will be using the resources provided for you below to find out more about copyright and how the law may apply to you.

Instructions

Step 1: Learning About Copyright & Fair Use

1. Download the Copyright & Fair Use worksheet at the bottom of this page and immediately save this document to your My Documents folder.

2. Watch the three videos below and read through the Copyright Basics & FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) on the CopyrightKids and Cyberbee websites. Answer the following 8 questions on the Copyright Questions document the as you are viewing the videos and reading over the information on the websites.

**It’s VERY important that you pay close attention to the videos and make sure you really read and understand the information on the Copyright Kids and Cyberbee websites as you will be taking a Copyright & Fair Use Quiz after you are done with the requirements for Step 1. This quiz will be summatively assessed (worth 70% of your grade).
