Have you ever wished a company would send you a sticker, coupon, sample, or cool promotional item?
Now you get to ask!
But there’s a catch…
You have to use your persuasive writing skills to convince them. 😎
🪝Hook: Would You Say YES?"
Email #1:
Subject: GIVE ME FREE STUFF!!!
Hi,
Can you send me free stuff? I really like your company.
Thanks.
Email #2:
Subject: Student Request to Learn More About Your Company
Dear [Company Name],
My name is Jordan, and I am a 7th grade student. I really enjoy your products and would love to learn more about your company.
I was wondering if your company offers samples, coupons, or promotional items that you could share with students.
Thank you for taking the time to read my email!
Tell students:
Your subject should tell the reader what your email is about.
Good:
Student Request for Company Information
Not so good:
HEY!!!! FREE STUFF!!!
Use a polite greeting.
Examples:
Dear [Company Name] Team,
Hello [Company Name],
Dear Customer Relations Team,
Avoid:
Yo!
Hey!!!
Give me free stuff!
Tell the reader who you are and why you're contacting them.
Example:
My name is Alex, and I am a 7th grade student at O.W. Best Middle School.
Clearly explain what you are asking for.
I am writing to ask if your company offers samples, coupons, stickers, or other promotional items that you might be willing to share.
Important: Students should ask politely—not demand.
Instead of:
❌ "Send me free stuff."
Try:
✅ "I was wondering if you would be willing to send..."
This is the persuasive part!
Students should explain why the company might want to help.
They can mention:
⭐ Why they like the company
⭐ A product they enjoy
⭐ Something they learned about the company
⭐ Why the company interests them
⭐ What they appreciate about the company
Example:
I really enjoy your products because they are creative and fun. I have also noticed that your company supports students and families.
End professionally.
Thank you for taking the time to read my email. I appreciate your consideration.
Sincerely,
Alex
