Construction would start on this Walmart in 1994 on the vacant land above/ behind the Bedford Grove shopping plaza. This store would open on January 31st 1995. A small renovation would happen around 2004. Around 2010, this Walmart would receive a remodel including: new exterior sign/paint, and new interior signs/decor. The Subway would close its location in the store around 2014. In mid-2017, the entrance sign was painted blue. On May 15th 2019, walmart anounced that they would close this location, with its going-out-of-business sale starting the next week. Walmart would close on June 14th 2019. The main reason for the store's closure was that there was a newer Supercenter Walmart around 3 miles up the highway, built 3 years earlier, aswell the store was a smaller store. The store would sit vacant for around 3 years until it was sold to a manufacturing company. Throughout 2022, the building was completely gutted and fully rebuilt on the inside. There is a Walmart in Rindge NH, which is very similar to this former location; it also opened around a week before this store did.
