the plaza opened with a A&P supermarket on July 20th 1975. A Ben Franklin department store opened next door to the A&P. Construction started on anAmess department store in 1980 to the left of the A&P supermarket. Rite Aid would open in an empty part of the plaza in April-May 1980. The Ames department store opened on October 8th 1981. Around 1982-1983, the Ben Franklin store was sold to new owners, with it reopening as Ben Franklin Crafts in July 1983. The A&P Supermarket would close in early 1993. Rite Aid would later move into the former A&P in 1995. On October 18th 1999, Mr. G's liqudation opened in the former Rite Aid space. In 1999, Rite Aid would move out of the plaza into a standalone store down the street. Chunky's Cineama would open in the former Rite Aid / A&P on August 23rd 2001. The Ames department store closed in December 2001. Dollar Tree would open in 1/2 of the former Ames that included its original entrance in early-mid 2002. In May 2004, Smitty's Cinema would take over operations of the Chunkys cinema. In 2004, a separate building was built in the parking lot, which housed a Movie Gallery rental store. Ben Franklin Crafts would close in December 2005. Mr. G's would later relocate to the former Ben Franklin Crafts store. On August 9th 2008, Tractor Supply Co. opened in the remaining Ames space. Movie Gallery closed in Mid-2010. The Movie gallery was later replaced by a Subway in mid-2013, and a Title Cash in Early-2013. Title Cash closed around 2020 and was replaced by a smoke shop. Mr. G's Liquidation closed in 2023.
