The plaza opened in early 1966 with 2 anchors, King's Department Store and IGA supermarkets. On April 28th 1967, Cinema 93 opened between the 2 anchors. Kings Department Store closed in November-December 1982 after filing for bankruptcy. IGA later followed Kings and closed in 1984. In 1985, DSM Reality (Owners of Market Basket) purchased the plaza. DSM later proposed to add a Kmart to the plaza, but the idea was later abandoned when the city wouldn't let them build it because of surrounding wetlands. In early October 1987, NHD hardware opened in around 2/3 of the former IGA space. Tons of Toys later opened in the remaining former IGA space in mid-October 1987. In 1992, Tons of Toys closed. USPS later replaced the vacant Tons of Toys around the mid-90s. In 1998, it was announced that the former Kings and Cinema would be demolished. Cinema 93 later closed on June 13th 1998. On October 17th 1998, NHD closed along with the rest of the chain. Demolition took place in early 1999. In mid-September 1999, Rocky's Ace Hardware would open in the former NHD space. In 2003, a Outback Steakhouse was built and opened diagonally from Rocky's Ace Hardware. In early 2004, construction started on the site of the demolished part of the plaza. It was later announced that T.J. Maxx and Bed Bath & Beyond would take the space of the former Kings, and 2 smaller stores would take the place of the cinema. On November 21st 2004, TJ Maxx opened. Bed Bath & Beyond opened late February - early March 2005. In October 2012, Outback Steakhouse closed. In spring 2012, construction started on a Buffalo Wild Wings in the parking lot with the store later opening in November of that year. On August 16th 2013, El Rodeo opened in the former Outback. In early 2013, US Cellular moved out of the plaza. Aspen Dental also moved out around 2015. Bed Bath & Beyond would close in late June 2023. Sierra later replaced the former Bed Bath & Beyond on November 23rd 2024.
