This plaza originally was one building, consisting of a J.M. Fields department store, which opened May 7th 1968, and a J.M. Fields discount foods next to it. J.M. Fields discount foods would close in early 1977, with J.M. Fields closing after their bankruptcy in May-June 1979. The stores would sit vacant until around 1987, when Lechmere announced they would open in part of the former building. The building was subdivided into 3 store spaces with Lechmere opening first on August 14th 1988. The Kid's/Baby's Room would open in another part of the space in late December 1989. There was a third store that opened in the last remaining vacant space, but I could not find any info on who it was. In early 1989, construction would start in the back of the parking lot for a separate additional store space. Annie's Hallmark would open in that same space in late 1989. Nazarian's Jewelers would open next to the Hallmark store in 1992-1993. The Kid's/Baby's Room would close in Fall 1994. Jenny Craig opened around 1996-97, next to the jewelers. In mid-August 1997, Lechmere would start their going-out-of-business sale, because of the chains bankrupcy. Lechmere closed on November 7th 1997. After Lechmere closed that whole building was fully Vacant again, and was demolished in 1998. A Target Store would be built on that former site, which opened on July 25th 1999. It was the first Target in New Hampshire. The UPS Store would open in the early 2000s. In early May 2023, Jenny Craig closed. HotWorx would open in the former Jenny Craig in mid-November 2025
