The Plaza opened on August 1st, 1974 with the main anchor stores being Kmart and Shaw's. Two other stores that were in the plaza in the 70s were Fashion Set and the casual male. Shaws closed in 1989 after relocating to the new Granite State shopping center down the road. On October 9th 1989, Toy Works opened in part of the former Shaws. In December 1989 Ben Franklin Crafts would open in the remaining space of the former Shaws. Toy Works closed in 1996. An Applebee's would open in the parking lot in 1999. Dollar Tree opened in 2000 in the former Toy Works. Ben Franklin Crafts closed in early May 2004. Workout Club would later open in the former Ben Franklin in the mid-2000s. The hallmark store closed in 2005. Radio Shack closed in July 2006. In November 2012 Applebee's got remodeled. Workout Club closed in late 2012. Pure Hockey opened on June 1st, 2013 in the former Workout Club. Pure Hockey later closed and relocated in mid-August 2018. Kmart closed on February 16th, 2020 after being open for almost 46 years. On January 6th 2023, Zoo Health Club opened in the former Pure Hockey. Throughout the spring and summer of 2024, the plaza would receive renovations, including repaving of the whole plaza (For the First time since the late 90s), new paint, and in late August, Cube Smart Storage opened in the former Kmart. As of October 2025, an addition the the self-storage place has been built in the back parking lot around the former Kmart garden center. Also, construction has started on the Panara bread in front of the Dollar Tree in the front of the parking lot.
