Construction on the plaza started in 1989 with it being completed in fall 1990. Toys R Us opened on November 17th 1990, with Kids R Us opening a separate store next to it sometime that same fall. On March 22nd 1991, Filene's Basement Opened. Around April - early May 1991, service merchandise would open next to the Kids R Us store. Snyder Leather opened in Summer 1991. Around September 1991, Leewards Crafts would open. Barnes & Noble had a standalone store in the parking lot of the plaza, which opened sometime in 1992. Coconuts Music opened early- mid-1992. In August 1992, Bed & Bath opened in part of the space between Filene’s Basement and Service Merchandise. On August 30th 1993, LL Bean opened between the Leewards crafts and the Snyder leather store. Sometime in summer 1994, Leeward's Crafts was rebranded to a Michaels Crafts store after its acquisition. In 1994, Old Navy would open. On March 6th 1995, Snyder Leather closed, which was later filled by a Bell Atlantic store on March 24th 1996. CFO Fashion Outlet opened sometime around the mid-late 1990s. Barnes & Noble would move its store down the street around 1997, to a new and larger store. in the late 1990's David's Bridal would open in part of the old Barnes & Nobles. In fall 1999 the Coconuts music store was rebanded to a Strawberries Records store, after Coconuts sold some of their stores to them. Bed & Bath would close around 1999-2000. Filene’s Basement would close in December 1999, during a round of closings caused by a bankruptcy, The store was later liquidated in January 2000. Starbucks would open in late spring 2000. In Late October 2000, DSW would open in the former Filene’s Basement space. In 2000, the Bell Atlantic store was rebanded to Verizon Wireless. In spring 2001, service merchandise would close in a round of closings. In September 2001, Michaels Crafts would move across the parking lot into part of the former Service Merchandise. In late 2001, Old Navy would move out of the plaza into a new standalone store down the street. Famous footwear would open a store in the early 2000s, most likely in the former Old Navy. Sometime around 2002, Bed Bath & Beyond would move into the remaining former Service Merchandise space. In January 2004, Kids R Us closed, and an Office Depot store later opened in its former space in Fall of that same year. On July 5th 2004, the L.L. Bean store closed and moved to its new location at the old Nashua Mall across town. CFO fashion outlet closed around 2004. In mid-October 2004, Modell's Sporting Goods would open in the former L.L. Bean space. On February 25th 2005, Eastern Mountain Sports would open in the former CFO space, after moving from its old space in the Pheasant Lane Mall. The Strawberries records store closed in early 2007, the Vitamin Shop would later fill its former space in August of the same year. Famous footwear would move out of the plaza in late 2008. Five Below would replace the former famous footwear around April-May 2009. On October 15th 2009, Aspen Dental opened. Starbucks would close on April 25th 2010. In summer 2011, the Bed Bath & Beyond store would move out of the plaza and across the street into a former Linens ' N Things store. Around September 2011, the DSW would move its location into the former Office Depot space. In July 2012, Trader Joe's would open in part of the DSW's old space, with Ulta Beauty filling the remaining space in October of the same year. In April 2013, Eastern Mountain Sports moved out of the plaza to a new space down the street. In late March 2015, Pier One Imports would open in the former Eastern Mountain Sports. On April 4th 2013, Five Guys opened next to David's Bridal. TJ Maxx would open in the former Bed Bath & Beyond space in July 2013. The Toys R Us would close on June 25th 2018 after their bankruptcy. In early 2020, the Modell's sporting goods would close. Pier One Imports would close in Fall 2020. In 2021, a new development would start to be built in the former Toys R Us; it ended up being an Amazon Fresh store, but midway through the building of the project was abandoned. A Crumbl cookie opened next to Five Guys on May 13th 2021. In April 2023, Boot Barn would open in the former Modell's space. On December 10th 2024, Whole Foods would open in the former Toys R Us, using the newly renovated building that Amazon Fresh never opened in. In Early 2025, David's Bridal moved out of the plaza into the old Nashua Mall. In late-March 2025, Party City would close. Dollar Tree would fill the former Party City in early August 2025.
