Ready for a bit of anxiety ridden stories? No?
Good, cause I'm not D:
Jump scares you won't really find with these episodes, but they're no slouches in making you a bit uncomfortable in actual, real life places. How? Well let's dive in.
Footsteps I normally don't go to the bathroom in malls. If anyone asks why, I'll just point to this episode. Guy goes out to the mall with his wife after getting some time off. Which is coo, but he ain't really feeling it. When his homies hit him up to drink, he goes to the bathroom to respond. The stall he dives into, however...has some weird writing on it...very strange writing. It seems that he's in there for some time, as his wife emails him, wondering which floors the bathrooms were on. Just then, someone comes in...then more...then more...they just keep coming. And then his cell phone vibrates...and all the footsteps stop. Lesson: Don't lie to your wife when you're out with her at the mall…or go into strange bathroom stalls.
Cassette Tape This one definitely is a 9.0 on the Weird-Shit-O-Meter. For starters, it almost feels like a breather, as it's very lighthearted for the first half of the episode. There's a man who comes back home to visit his family and stay there for a bit so he can attend his friend's wedding. He heads up into his room, which is unchanged from before. Reminiscing, he picks up a cassette tape and starts listening to it. Turns out, it's one that he had recorded himself on when he was young; pretty cool, actually! It goes into his middle school days, which gives him a few more good feelings of nostalgia...but then they start to...not make sense. Things that he had no memory of. Of someone brushing against his skin...of an old man in the park. Of cracks in toys and boxes...that grew ever so wider. The tape kept going...into his adult voice. Needless to say, it freaked him the fuck out.
Grinding Teeth First off, don't go near out of the way Jizo Statues. Secondly, listen to your dentist...or a reasonable facsimile thereof. Thirdly, the title of this itself is unsettling, especially if you've had this HAPPEN to you before. The teeth grinding, not the one eventually falling out and running away. Oh...didn't I mentioned that would happen!? If you want to know why...it's literally a blink and you'll miss it moment. Lesson: BRUSH YOUR TEETH! And you wonder why I rarely go to the bathroom in malls D:
