I've done a fair amount of AMVs (using my tried and true partner iMovie HD), so for the countdown, I've decided to post the survival horror ones as a sort of movie night. They're all Fatal Frame related, excepting "Traversing the Cornmaze of Reality" which is more like a Silent Hill video. So without further adieu, here are some classic Random Lunacy Productions AMVs.
The first video I've done, w/ suggestions from friends and family. Took almost 4 months (now I can pop out a vid in less than a day). Its personally one of my favorites.
I did this one at a request for a friend. The soundbite was from a J-rock song. Funfunfun.
Akira Yamaoka's work in the Silent Hill series made for some of the best soundtracks ever blessed to a video game. This track is from the sometimes underrated Silent Hill 4:The Room. The cornmaze is out past Tracy, Ca, where they have a cornmaze and pumpkin patch (w/ haunted house attractions, horse cart rides, and a pumpkin cannon). Its an annual event I always try for. You can check out the farm's site here: Dell' Osso Pumpkin Farm.
I practiced a bit more with timing, and it turned out pretty good. The practice in this video lead to the next one, where I tried to time lip-syncing.
I named the video off the M-Flo videos ("M-Flo LOVES Hikaru Utada", etc), and took audio from one survival horror series, and used video from another. I felt it was a pretty happy, unholy union. Its another favorite video of mine.
Hopefully this year, I should be able to pull out another video. They're so much fun to edit. Now I know why trailer editing is such a fun job.
