Robbie Supple

The son of a builder, Robert John Supple was born at Brentford, Essex, on Feb 2, 1967, and was apprenticed to Jim Bolger.

His first winner was Special Display at Tralee on August 30, 1984: his last was Reach The Clouds at Cheltenham on April 20, 2000.


Robbie is the eldest of four jockey brothers - the others are Willie, John & Gerry - who all rode winners.


Robbie rode around 400 winners and finished third in the 2000 Grand National on Nikki Dee and fourth on Over The Road in 1991.

Robbie's biggest wins came on Nick The Brief in the 1991 Irish Hennessy Gold Cup, Zeta's Lad in the 1994 Peter Marsh Chase and Domaine de Pron in the 1998 Eider Chase.


Robbie is now employed as a BHA starter.
