John Sly

Aged 27, John fell at Four Oaks Park, Birmingham, on 8 February, 1887, when riding Coercion.

He received shocking injuries about the head and face, his forehead being fractured after a horse's hoof landed on it.

John died the next day at the Three Tuns Hotel.

He was the son of trainer Bob Sly and was single. He had resided at Upton House, Banbury.

John left £150.
