Templates allow the business to produce professional documentation that pulls records from BOS Enterprise. These can be Reports, Quotes, Worktickets, and more.
Templates can also be linked to Fixed Transactions in General Settings.
QuickEasy uses ReportBuilder to output documents: Preview, Print, E-mail. Documents are formatted by a template which can be created and updated in Main Menu > Utilities > Form Designer. The ReportBuilder templates can be linked to Transaction Types > Templates as follows:
Main Menu > Setup > Transaction Types > Templates
Select Transaction Type - This drop-down list of Transaction Types filters the list of Templates to be shown.
Name - This is the Name of the Template that will be displayed on the Print Menu. This Name also appears in the Email reference when the Template is Output to Email.
Type - This drop-down list allows the user to specify the Type of Template:
Document (.rtm) - This is the ReportBuilder Template that is used for document-style Reports.
HTML - This is for web-based Report Templates.
Text - This is for text-based Report Templates.
Output - This determines whether the Template can be Output via Print & Email, or Print only. The Print only option is to prevent users from accidentally mailing a Cost Sheet to the Customer, for example.
Status - This specifies the Transaction Status from which the Template may be Output. eg. If only Active is selected, the Template is not available on a Pending Transaction.
Default - Users can select the Default Template which will be e-mailed or Printed when the Output button is clicked. When a Default Template is selected, the Output button changes to a drop-down button and the Output Menu can then be accessed by clicking on the drop-down arrow.
Template - This allows the user to upload the file for the Template. When the Type = Document (.rtm), the Template field indicates whether or not a *.rtm template file has been uploaded.
