Having more than one Supplier and price list for a certain product could make all the difference to a healthy profit margin. The Supplier database contains all your suppliers in one single system, so that everyone in the business has access to the same list, with the same prices.
This topic shows you how to set up your suppliers.
Main Menu > Setup > Suppliers
Data Filter - This filter allows you to view Supplier records by Category, or by Searching for text or numeric references.
Data Grid - This shows the Supplier records by Name, Account Number, Category, Contact details, Currency, Entities, VAT, and Status.
Menu - The Menu provides additional functionality.
Edit Categories - This allows you to edit Supplier Categories.
Edit Job Descriptions - This allows you to edit Job Descriptions.
Each Supplier record contains Detail, Contacts and Accounting information.
Name - This is the Name of the Supplier.
Category - This is the Supplier Category as specified in Setup > Settings and Defaults > General Settings.
Detail - This is where the Contact details and Addresses are entered.
Accounting - This tab contains the Accounting information, such as if they are Active, their Account number, Credit Terms, Credit Limit, Entities, VAT Exemption and default Currency.
User Fields - This is where Supplier User Fields will show. See more on User Fields here.
Contacts - This shows the Contacts that are listed against this Supplier.
