Goods Received Transaction Type
Your Goods Received note acts as internal proof of goods received to process and match against your Supplier Invoices or Purchase Orders. The internal document is produced after inspecting delivery for proof of order receipt.
This topic covers how to setup a Goods Received Transaction Type.

Transaction Types
General
The defaults for Transaction Types only require a small amount of change. The only fields to change are:
Description - Enter 'Goods Received'.
Code - Enter 'GR'. This is the 'nickname' of the Transaction Type.
Contacts - Select Suppliers - All. This is so that users will be able to receive goods from all Suppliers.
Items & Inventory
As above, there is minimal change required here. More on Items & Inventory here.
Pricing Items - Select 'Supplier Price'. This sets what item price is used when adding a item to a transaction. Selecting Supplier Price means only the selected Supplier's price will apply to the Item.
Resolve Items - Select 'Receive'. This sets what Resolve is set by default for items on this transaction type. If set to Receive, then items on this transaction will be received into Stock.
Accounting
Landing Costs - Select Allocate to. This is so that any landing costs associated with the items that have been received will be allocated against these items. More on landing costs here.
Custom Fields
This tab is where you set up Custom Captions and Custom Fields, and define the Item Entity, if required.
More on Custom Fields here.
More on Entities here.
The defaults for Custom Fields for a new Goods Received Transaction Type only require a small amount of change. The only field to change is if there are entities in the business:
Due Date - Caption - Change this to Expiry.
Status
This is where you set the Statuses for Goods Received. More on Transaction Status here.
Copy Rules
These are dependent on the other Transaction Types that need to be linked to Goods Received. For a more in-depth explanation of Copy Rules, click here.
Goods Received to Supplier Invoices - This allows you to create a Supplier Invoices transaction linked to the Goods Received.
Templates
A template can be setup for Goods Received. More on Templates here.

Cost Update
QuickEasy provides the functionality to automatically update your item prices from Transactions. More on Cost Update here.
Use these settings if you would like your Inventory Average Price to be updated every time a Goods Received note is made and set to Complete, or to another Status that you may select.
Goods Received > Inventory (Average Price) > Complete - This ensures that, once goods are received, the Inventory (Average Price) record is updated, and the Status is set to Complete.
