Thai name: ไผ่เลื้อย (phai lueai).
Distribution: THAILAND (South), in the forest of Thailand's borderland areas with Malaysia. — MALAYSIA (Peninsular).
Culm size: Length not recorded, diameter 0.8–2.5 cm.

Characteristics: Culms climbing, slender, zig-zag; culm internodes with pale hairs when young, thick-walled; nodes prominent; branches slender, numerous, unbranched on the lower culm; culm sheaths purple and densely hairy when young, margins ciliate; culm sheath auricles conspicuous; culm sheath ligule 1.0–1.5 mm high, edges with short hairs; culm sheath blade ovate-lanceolate, apex acuminate; foliage leaf blades oblong-lanceolate, apex acuminate and densely spinulose, base cuneate or obtuse, 15–25 cm long, 1–3 cm wide, glabrous on both sides, margins sharply spinulose-scabrous; leaf sheath densely pubescent; leaf sheath auricles naked, large and long, edges with numerous long bristles; leaf sheath ligule nearly rounded, minutely denticulate.
Uses: Culms for ropes, weaving chairs, and small articles.
