Bamboos obtainable for free / available for sale / offered for exchange

All of the bamboos listed either belong to a private collection that was planted on the site of the non-commercial Bambusetum Baan Sammi, or on the site of the commercial bamboo nursery Boonthammee Bamboo Garden (Boonthammee Co., Ltd.). All bamboos are due for propagation sooner or later and are usually offered to the public as follows:

Bamboos obtainable for free

from Bambusetum Baan Sammi. Bamboo species obtainable for free are usually saplings and seedlings, grown mostly in pots or PVC bags. Occasionally, some field-grown bamboo plants are offered free of charge if interested parties themselves want to dig up the plants with their own tools. For several months a year, mainly during the dry season, cut bamboo stems of different lengths, diameters, and wall thicknesses are offered free of charge. These services will continue to be offered for some time after Bambusetum Baan Sammi has been closed, but will be offered to a lesser extent than before. Bamboos available for sale

from Boonthammee Bamboo Garden. Many species of living bamboo plants in retail quantity or plantation quantity, as well as bamboo seeds, can be purchased from Mr. Thammarat Boonthammee, online or on-site.
