Thai name: ไผ่หลอบหลอย (phai lop loi), ไผ่รวกเขา (phai ruak khao), ไผ่รวกหิน (phai ruak hin).
Distribution: THAILAND (East): abundant in Prachin Buri, in forests, wild and cultivated; (Central): Nakhon Sawan.
Culm size: Height to 8 m, diameter ca. 1–2 cm.
Uses: Culms for broomsticks and similar handles. Young shoots said to be palatable.
Flowering and seeding: Gregarious flowering in the forests of Prachin Buri during 2020–2021/2022 was recorded, followed by natural regeneration through seeds.

Comments: The Thai common name, ไผ่รวกหิน (phai ruak hin), has also been applied to a different species (in the genus Thyrsostachys).
