My name is Ms. Szuba and this is my 9th year at VHS. I have taught AP US History, US History, psychology, sociology and AP World History here at VHS. This year I am adding AP Human Geography.

I grew up here in the Lake-Sumter county area, graduating from Mt. Dora High School in 1990. I earned my bachelor of science degree in social science education from the University of South Florida in 1996. In 2010, I earned a masters degree in curriculum, instruction, and assessment from Walden University.

I have been teaching for 27 years, this school year is my 28th year. I taught middle school for 16 years, and high school for nine years now. I spent two years as a social studies curriculum specialist in Lake County, supporting grades 6-12 social studies teachers.

I live in The Villages with my husband and our two dogs, Penny and Bernadette.
