Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I can't wait to work with your students this year. In engineering students explore various fields of engineering and complete projects based on those fields.
A little about me, I am in my 23rd year teaching and my 12th at TVCS. I have my Masters degree in physics education and am certified to teach engineering. This will be my 11th year as the engineering academy teacher, which is a class that I never saw myself teaching, but I truly enjoy the course and subject. I am also an adjunct physics professor for Lake Sumter State College.
My husband works for Buffalo Stampeders and we have two children who attend TVCS, one at the elementary school and one at the middle school. In my spare time I enjoy going to the beach and rooting for The Ohio State Buckeyes.
I'm looking forward to an exciting year!
Go Buffalo!

Students will be studying the following topics this school year:
Engineering I students will be learning about the engineering design process, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mapping using ArcGIS, and 3D modeling using TinkerCAD.
Engineering II students will be learning about aerospace engineering, civil engineering, and green engineering, remote controlled robots (using the VEX EDR platform), computer aided drafting through AutoCAD. Students will also be completing their Senior Engineering Project, which is of their own choosing (within the fields of mechanical, electrical, civil, and green engineering).
