Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! I can't wait to work with your students this year. In engineering, students explore various fields of engineering and complete projects based on those fields. Physics students will be learning about the physical world around them by studying topics such as motion, forces, momentum, energy, sound, light, and electricity.
A little about me, I am in my 24th year teaching and my 13th at TVCS. I have my Masters degree in physics education and am certified to teach engineering. This will be my 12th year as the engineering academy teacher, which is a class that I never saw myself teaching, but I truly enjoy the course and subject. I am also an adjunct physics professor for Lake Sumter State College.
My husband works for Buffalo Stampeders and we have two children who attend TVCS, one at the middle school and one at the high school. In my spare time I enjoy going to the beach and rooting for The Ohio State Buckeyes.
I'm looking forward to an exciting year!
Go Buffalo!

Engineering I students will be learning about the engineering design process, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mapping using ArcGIS, and 3D modeling using Autodesk Fusion (certification opportunity).
Engineering II/III students will be learning about computer aided drafting through AutoCAD, remote controlled robots (using the VEX EDR platform), civil engineering, aerospace engineering, and green engineering. Students will also have the opportunity to earn their Project Management Ready certification in addition to Autocad.
Honors Physics is a first year, inquiry-based introductory physics course. Topics include kinematics (motion), force, energy, work, power, sound and waves, and other modern physics topics. Qualitative labs and hands-on activities will be used to further deepen the understanding of the subject.
