Hello all!  My name is David Ponsford and I am cycling back to 9th graders this year after having 12th graders last year.  I have been an ESE facilitator at VHS for the past 3 years and prior to this I was a teacher and coach in Colorado for 27 years. Our family realized the only thing missing in our lives was more land and sand, so we moved to Florida and bought a farm in Ocklawaha.  We are exactly one hour from either coast and 15 minutes from our closest Florida Spring.  We love spending our free time on or around water soaking up the Florida sun.  

I have a lovely wife and three beautiful daughters. Our Farm in Ocklawaha consists of cows, goats, chickens, and Guineas.  We love exploring Central Florida and going to the beach.  I am an avid fisherman and am the Author of a fishing adventure book, "The Adventure of Dave and Dusty:  Fishin' Across America".  

I look forward to getting to know the incoming 9th grade VHS students where I'll be looking for opportunities to make a positive difference here in the VHS ESE department.  Stop by anytime to say hello!  My door is always open.
