Business and Entrepreneurship Principles
College Success
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!
A little about me, this is my second year at The Villages High School. We moved to Florida from Ohio in 2018. I am returning to structured education following years of online writing, public talks, and operating online businesses. In addition I taught at Ohio University, Owens Community College, and Defiance College in Ohio.
My daughters attend The Villages High School and participate in volleyball, cross country, swim, track, theater, and choir. We enjoy being outside whether that's among the crowds at Disney World or by ourselves at the scallop beds.
I am excited to teach both of these courses, building fundamental habits about thinking and learning as well as using a mix of new and old cases and tools.

Students will be studying the following topics this school year:
Business and Entrepreneurship students will be learning about the challenges, pitfalls, and setbacks required to starting a business from scratch, through acquisition, or by "rising through the ranks". We will also discuss the rewards, benefits, and successes which hard work (sometimes) brings.
College success students will be learning about successful systems, habits, and actions -- and how to create them rather than waiting for them to be created for you. We will talk about common pitfalls and how to avoid them. We will creatively apply reasoning skills and use the advice of those who have gone before us.
