Course Syllabus
Hi! I'm Ms. Pinkowski, I'm entering my seventh year here at The Villages Charter High School and I am excited to teach Business and Entrepreneurial Principles, Dual Enrollment (DE) Into to Entrepreneurship, and Dual Enrollment (DE) Personal Finance. I strive to make my classes enjoyable and motivating, while ensuring students learn to apply skills to everyday life. My overall goal is to make all of my students productive members of society. I enjoy nothing more than witnessing the success of my students as they accomplish goals they didn't know were possible. I am always open-minded to a young person's perspective and want my students to feel as though my classes are a safe area to speak freely yet be business appropriate too. Yes, we can still have fun in a business environment!
I have spent the majority of my adult life working and coaching at the collegiate level, along with holding various job titles from Marketing Instructor to Assistant Athletic Director. I earned a B.A. in Journalism/Public Relations at Flagler College where I also played college basketball graduating in 2002. I currently hold an MBA with a major in Sports Management from Webber International University having graduated in 2005. My background and experience have allowed me to travel the world while working at truly amazing institutions for over 15 years and I am now able to bring that experience into my own classroom.
My students will not only learn important skills needed to become successful in the business world, but each student will have an opportunity to earn an industry certification.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me at mary.pinkowski@tvcs.org. I look forward to teaching all of you. I am always available by appointment.
