About Me
Shelbie Wiley
My name is Shelbie Wiley, and I am a new hire to The Villages Charter High School ESE department (February 2024). However, I am really not new to The Villages Charter School. I taught 8th grade science at The Villages Charter Middle School - Buffalo Ridge for 17 years. I also taught in the Sumter county schools and Orange county as well. My background is mainly in science (Physical Science, Biology, and Chemistry). This is my 28th year of teaching and second year in ESE. I have my B.S. in Education from The University of South Florida and I am certified through the State of Florida in Exceptional Student Education, General Science, and Physical Education.
I am married with three children (adults now). My husband and I are both born and raised in Sumter county. I planned to retire once my youngest child finished high school (last year), however, once I switched into ESE I found a new love of helping students. I am so excited to be back at The Villages and I am looking forward to helping your student reach their goals! During the school day, I am mainly a support teacher in math and science classes.
If not in school, then I am usually on the water in Sassa or Pilates class! 😀🛥️🐟🧘
