The PSAT/NMSQT is now digital!
All sophomores and several juniors will take the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). This standardized test administered by the College Board, is cosponsored by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. The PSAT/NMSQT is now digital!
The PSAT/NMSQT is now digital! The test is easier to take, shorter, has more time per question, and comes with a built-in calculator. All sophomores will take the test free of charge and DO NOT need to register for the exam. Below you will find several resources for both students and parents. Sophomores should start practicing for the test and be ready to take the PSAT/NMSQT.

Any Junior who hopes to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program MUST take the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) on October 15, 2025 (during the school day) and MUST register with our testing coordinator. The deadline to register and pay will be September 12th at 3:15pm. The cost for juniors is $20.00 payable via cash or check made out to the Villages Charter School. Payment can be submitted to Mrs. Blake in the testing office Room 5-105 or during lunches that week.
In order to be considered for the National Merit Scholarship Competition, students must take the PSAT/NMSQT during their junior year. October 15, 2025 will be the only opportunity to take this test, there will be no makeups.

On April 7th, VHS will be offering an opportunity for ALL juniors to take the digital SAT® during the school day. More information will be released during spring semester.
