Hi, I'm Mrs. Eugene

Hello VHS Students & Families,

My name is Alexandra Eugene and I am pleased to be your teacher for the 2023-24 school year.

I am originally from Toronto, Canada and have been fortunate to live, go to school, and work all over the world; Toronto, Saskatchewan, New Hampshire, St. Thomas (US Virgin Islands), London, UK and now Florida.

I have a BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from The University of the Virgin Islands (St. Thomas), and a Master's of Business Administration (MBA) from Hult International Business School in London, UK.  I began my career in the business world and after seven years decided to change paths into the world of teaching.  This is my seventh year teaching at VHS and I am excited to get back into the classroom.

In my spare time, I play (and coach) soccer, enjoy working out, traveling, eating good food, and spending time with my family.

AP CSP Learning Platforms and Resources

Within Canvas, your AP CSP student will be able to view the unit agenda by day/month, access unit/lesson PowerPoint slides, and the digital worksheet/activity we complete in class together.

Your student will use this learning platform daily to follow along with the daily lesson and complete online/in-class activities.  Here, your student will learn and practice their coding skills using JavaScript (block code format available).

Within AP Classroom, your student will be able to review a variety of videos, practice questions, and tests to increase their understanding of the concepts they learn in class as well as prepare for the written portion of their AP exam as well as submit their Create Performance Task.
