Welcome to U.S. History and APUSH!

The 26/27 school year marks my 18th year at VCS and my 24th year in education. James Madison once said that “knowledge will forever govern ignorance, and a people who mean to be their own governors, must arm themselves with the power knowledge gives.” The success, preservation, and health of our American republic will survive only as long as its citizens are willing and able to remain knowledgeable about and devoted to the history and constitutional principles upon which it is founded. As high school juniors and seniors, you stand on the brink of accepting this responsibility.  

My wish is that your devotion to understanding these principles will allow you to enjoy and promote the blessings of liberty as you prepare to embark on your life's journey!
