Hello and welcome to my teacher connection page!
I was born and raised in the small town of Inverness, right here in Central Florida. I am in my 15th year teaching, and 10th year at VHS. My wife and I have two young boys Grayden and Tilden. I enjoy golf, hunting, fishing, and everything outdoors.

Construction Management Foundations
We start the year with HBI Core Curriculum, which focuses on tool and equipment safety. During the first few weeks, students will earn the OSHA 10 Certification. Next we move on to hand, power tools, and basic construction math. The next chapters will include blueprint reading, communication, and employability skills and we'll finish up the year with material handling. There are written exams and practical testing with each chapter. Providing the students complete the course they will achieve an HBI certification.

Construction Management 2/3 starts with a quick review of basic safety and then we're off to the jobsite.
In addition to our Habitat home builds, we partner with Building Homes for Heros and The Villages Builders Group to build homes for veterans.
On each building project students will work side by side with skilled craftsmen such as masons, carpenters, electricians, and plumbers.
Students will have opportunities to earn the HBI Green Building & HBI Carpentry Industry Certifications as well as the OSHA 30 in their senior year.
