My name is Cheri Bevis and this is my 10th year at TVCS. I taught 3 years of 7th grade health at VCMS before transitioning into the position of Girls' Strength and Conditioning Coach. This is the 7th year of the program and it continues to grow each year!
I was born and raised in southwest Kansas. I graduated from NW Oklahoma State University in 2000 with a B.S. in Health and Physical Education. I earned a M.S. in Health and Human Performance from Fort Hays State University in 2006.
My previous teaching experience includes 11 years in Liberal, KS as a MS girls Health/PE teacher. During my time there, I served as the Girls Head Coach for HS Cross Country and Track and the varsity assistant for HS Girls Basketball.
My family moved to Florida in 2011. I have been married to my husband, Darrin Bevis, for 23 years and we have two sons, Caleb and Ethan. Our weekends are usually spent watching our boys compete in athletic events. My hobbies include running, weightlifting, and paddleboarding.
I look forward to working with the athletes this school year and helping them be the best they can be on and off the field/court! Go Buffalo!!
