Mrs. Raysa Gomez, B.S.

I’m so excited to be joining you as your Algebra 1 teacher this year!

I have been teaching for 17 years, primarily as a Physics teacher, and I’m excited to bring my love of science, problem-solving, and real-world learning into the Algebra 1 classroom. I am also certified to teach Algebra 1, and I look forward to helping my students build confidence in math and see how algebra connects to the world around us.

I graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and Immunology and a minor in Chemistry. My science background has taught me to be curious, ask questions, think critically, and never be afraid of a challenging problem.  I hope to encourage those same qualities in my students.

My family and I moved to The Villages, Florida, in January 2026, and we are so happy to be here! Outside of school, I love traveling, and exploring new places. I have 2 daughters one is at UNF and the other is at FIU. One of my hobbies was being a beekeeper! 🐝

I’m looking forward to getting to know each of you and making this a successful, positive, and fun year of learning. I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together!
