Welcome to Dr. Triaga's Pre AP 10th Grade English course!  This is my 32nd year in Education and my first year with The Villages High School  I hold five degrees and completed my Doctoral dissertation in March of 2013. While I grew up in Buffalo, NY all 32 years of my teaching career were completed in Georgia. I am married 26 plus years to my wife Kerri and we have 2 children Jonathan 24 and Hailey 22. The picture above is of our White German Sheperd (Poyer). I am a lifelong Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres fan. I have listed just a few simple requests with regard to our classroom.  

1.  Be respectful to your classmates, your teacher(s), and to yourself.  I will show you professional and personal respect at all times.

2. Turn off your cell phone and put it in your designated spot in the Tech Locker. They are not allowed on your person in my classroom unless I expressly give permission that day. The same goes for earbuds/AirPods, gaming devices, etc.  These will distract you from your overall purpose in the class: to learn  and comprehend at a level proficient with your grade level or higher!

3. Come to class with your Chromebook charged.  We will use this much of the time.

4. Raise your hand before speaking out.  I definitely want to hear your thoughts and positions, but I cannot understand what you've said if several of your peers are expressing while you are. 

5. If you have any concerns, or questions, please communicate with me! I'm available via school email and phone, and I definitely encourage you to talk to me. The solution to each problem begins with appropriate communication.
