Hello all and welcome to AP Capstone: Seminar & AP Human Geography!
My name is Lauren Taylor and I am honored to welcome you to my classroom. I am entering into my 10th year of teaching and 7th year here at the Charter School and love every minute of it. I am thrilled to be able to share my passion for learning and am here to help each of you make sense of the world we live in through various historical lenses.
Remember we are shaped by history but also by each other- our stories make up the narrative of our community, our nation, and our world. In the words of Ms. Frizzle from the Magic School Bus:
A little about me:
-Born and raised in Newton, NJ & live with my family in Ocala.
-I have four higher education degrees (working on number 5!): BA in History/Anthropology; MBA, MDiv, Doctorate in Educational Leadership, & an MA in Geography: GIS concentration in progress.
-I am a lifelong student, musician, avid reader and passionate about travel!
Assignments are posted on Google Classroom. If the assignment is NOT digital (we did it paper & pencil), I will allow students who are home to submit their work digitally via email.

One 3 ring binder (1”)
Pens (dark blue or black ink)
Pencils (mechanical or wood are fine)
Highlighters
Loose leaf paper (college ruled)
Headphones/Earbuds (to be used with Chromebook)
12 pack colored pencils (optional but very useful!)
**FOR SEMINAR: 1 pack of notecards; Composition notebook/spiral notebook

Students last names A-M: Clorox wipes & box of tissues
Students last names N-Z: Tissues & pack of sticky notes
