Welcome!

Hi there!  This is my thirteenth year as part of The Villages Charter School family.  Over the years, I have taught English 1, English 3, ILA, and Pre AP English 1.  I have a B.A. in Organizational Communications from The University of Central Florida and an M.A.T in English Education from Florida Gulf Coast University.  In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, reading, boating, and spending time with family and friends.

 Ninth grade coursework is designed to facilitate mastery of Florida B.E.S.T. Standards and to help you become a better reader, writer, speaker, and thinker.  Along the way, we’ll enjoy great pieces of literature, including Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet and Hillenbrand's Unbroken. We’ll improve your grammar knowledge, advance your vocabulary, sharpen your public speaking skills, and I hope, have a great time learning together.
