How can I portray the livelyhood of Maine Lobstermen

Post Critique Reflection

My work has developed as I explore my materials as well as stick to materials I know how to use. There is room for improvement in all of my pieces, specifically numbers 3, 4, and 5. They look unfinished or rushed. I want to set goals of using and dedicating more time into my art. I want to do more research and become more inspired to make this investigation better. I want to play more with perspective, proportion, and color. I also want to make it more personal and implement myself into the pieces (painting myself with other things about lobstering around me or showing my lense of having a dad who has this job). I can experiment with different materials other than my usual acrylic or colored pencil . I can research other art involving lobstering. I can create a synthesis between my subject by experimenting with materials specific to my dads job (lobster ties, saltwater, etc..).
