This is an important non-discovery, because for the Big Bang to be a viable theory, space near the Event Horizon boundary ought to be filled with proto-stars that consist almost excessively of hydrogen, yet they are nowhere to be seen. Combine that observation of spiral galaxies in the same vicinity where these proto stars are supposed to be - galaxies indistinguishable from those in our own local galactic clusters - and you have a model of the Universe that doesn't hold water.

Saturn's moon Titan is moving away from the parent planet faster than previously thought. Instead of one inch a year, it's four inches a year. So in a billion years you'll have to take a taxi rather than walk the distance! :-)

New evidence offers a age ceiling. may paleontologists are watching this closely, because it it happened about 12,000 years ago, it could be the catalyst that explains the thousand year cooling at that time, and the extinction of much of the mega-fauna.
