These tightly coiled plasma 'Slinkies' that appear on the Sun's 'surface' are the bane of commercial satellites, and one of the reasons the Sun is so carefully watched. If and when they trigger, they send a cascade of X and Gamma rays, together with an accelerated radioactive plasma 'wind' that reaches Earth, usually in a couple of days. Pity any astronaut who gets caught in one of these.

The stark difference between the gravity fixated cosmological cult and the plasma/electric opponents: The Gravity folks are still looking - and failing to find - theorized 'Dark Matter' that is supposed to explain the rigidity of spiral galaxies.
The plasma/electric school say the spiral arms are an electromagnetic phenomenon. A brutally simple explanation backed up by observation.(but where the money in that?!)

The center of Supernova 1987 looks almost identical (and not to be confused with) to the highly publicized M 1987. One is supposed to be a 'black hole' the other is 'merely' a plasma toroid...or, are they both plasma toroids?

The actual outcome. Several plasma physicists announced to a deaf gravity-oriented audience that the 'cloud' was a plasma in motion and thus imbued with the 'Dynamo Effect', making it a very powerful electromagnetic beastie. They pointed out that this aspect of the phenomenon allow for very powerful electromagnetic interactions and would not get sucked into any hypothetical black hole They were right :

Electric/Plasma physicists also asked, "If the center of the galaxy is a powerful black hole, then where is the gravitational lensing that is supposed to occur on stars that are orbiting?"
