Boots unpicked and measured

Main Steps Explained

Upper Cut to fit

1 Measure - Maybe need to unpick

If possible just measure as per normal, but sometimes the back strip makes it bulky and hard to measure, so Unpick and measure/mark the overlap

2 Lining

Workout how much to remove and then stitch it up and trim off excess.

3 Cut uppers

Cut a vee off each side

4 Replace back strip

Glue a thin piece of pigskin under the uppers where you are butting them together, this will hold it all in place while you glue and stitch the "back strip" in place.

5 Replace Gusset

May have to remove some upper to make room for the gusset.
